they all hated it.
but for them "I just copy japanese manga" adn "i should get my own, western style" so it would be okay if I were to copy a wastern comic style or something.

YES, BECAUSE EVERYONE IN JAPAN DRAWS EXACTLY THE SAME. THEY ALL HAVE THE EXACT SAME 'MANGA' STYLE. THERE IS TOTALLY NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE STYLIZATION OF, SAY, SAILOR MOON COMPARED TO DRAGON BALL, OR POKEMON COMPARED TO DEATH NOTE.

People like that make me rage. 8[ So only azns can draw 'manga', which really is such a diverse style in itself that I don't even see how we can group all of it with one term. What the hell exactly makes manga different from 'western styles'? People are always like, THEIR EYES ARE HUGE AND THEIR NOSES ARE SO TINY.

What a bunch of crap, since when does anyone have the power to say what's art and what isn't? Art doesn't have any rules in general; it could be anything. People who say manga isn't art obviously aren't aware of the millions of dollars that are spent on manga/anime all over the world. How is drawing influence from 'western comics' any different from manga? That sounds more like you were dissed because of a personal taste rather than any type of artistic reason.
